And now we wait

Have you ever noticed how rushed you are to get your projects completed? And then what? You wait and wait and wait. I submitted a complete manuscript to a publisher in mid-February. Now we wait! But waiting is better than rejection. If I haven't heard anything, that means it hasn't been rejected! So I'm currently working on two new projects and waiting to hear if they think my baby's ugly! I refuse to dewell on the possiblity they might not think my baby is cute, smart and just what they need at the current time. Instead, I am busily working on my next project. What about you? How do you mark the time while you wait? Ladies in waiting, that's what we've become!

Merry Christmas everyone! The day is chilly, but nice. The presents have all been exchanged and openned. The family's gone home and now DH and I are left to enjoy the quiet! Granddaughter has been in and out since Friday. She is quite the life of the party as most 9 year olds can be.

Season's Greeting and Good Cheer to all.

Scarlet's favorite Christmas Candy

Scarlet's Favorite Christmas Candy
Okay, you caught me in the Christmas mood! I've decided to dig out my all time favorite candy recipe and share with all myvisitors! I will give you fair warning, these can become a tradition! They are at Scarlet's house.

Scarlet's Favorite Peanut Butter Cornflakes Candy
Ingredients:
1 cup sugar
1 cup white corn syrup
1 jar smooth peanut butter (12 oz)
6 cups Cornflakes

Combine sugar and syrup in a large 4 qt. sauce pan. Bring to a boil over low heat. Has to reach a full rolling boil. (don't cook too long or it will be too stiff)Remove from heat and stir in peanut butter, mix well. Add cornflakes and stir until all are coated with mixture. Drop by teaspoonfuls onto wax paper. Allow to cool and watch them disappear!

I love romance novels, especially historical ones. Reading about people who lived and loved years ago is my favorite type of reading. I enjoy research. I adore digging into the history of an event and looking at the broad picture of why it happened. Things are rarely as simple as it appears on the surface. My favorite time period is rather broad, from 17th through 19th centuries. Of course I will read other periods. I enjoy harvesting bits of information, obscure facts and then weaving them into a story of my own.

Spent the evening meeting with critique partner. Didn't get a lot done, but at least we're trying. Rewrite is almost complete. Let's see, I've killed the bad guy, rescued the girl, saved the child and shot the hero. Now what else must I do? Oh yes, heal the hero so we can have a HEA!
